The paper proposed a device with Al / Porous-Silicon / c-Si structures were fabricated and characterized. Experimental results showed that the short-wavelength responses in the developed devices were enhanced as compared to the silicon based homojunction transistors, this comparably medium optical gain indicated that the developed Porous-Silicon / c-Si heterojunction thin film photo-transistor.

About OSA. OSA’s mission is to promote the generation, dissemination, and application of knowledge in optics and photonics. OSA serves the global community through content and events that are authoritative, accessible, and archived, and through its education, advocacy and outreach programs.

Our Mission. Contact OSA. The Optical Society. The Optical Society (OSA) celebrates its th anniversary inmarking a century of innovation. Throughout the Centennial, OSA will honor the significance of these advancements and others while also empowering the next generation of optics and photonics leaders.

Come celebrate with us during the Conference reception with appetizers and drinks. This paper describes harmonic generation and pulse compression of a picosecond laser pulse. By applying a time delay between the extraordinary and ordinary waves of the fundamental pulses, the group velocity mismatch and the nonlinear phase shift can be compensated by each other, resulting in pulse-width reduction at the fourth harmonic wavelength.

We demonstrate the first II-VI based short-wave (λ ≤ 4 μm) Quantum Cascade Detector. Peak responsivity and background limited detectivity of mA/W and x10 10 cm√Hz/W, respectively, were measured at 80 K. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a fatal respiratory disease occurring in sleep.

OSA can induce declined heart rate variability (HRV) and was reported to have autonomic nerve system (ANS) dysfunction. Variance delay fuzzy approximate entropy (VD_fApEn) was proposed as a nonlinear index to study the fluctuation change of ANS in OSA patients.
